Basics:

Must be attending private, public or online school in grades 7th thru 12th.  If you are home schooled or early graduates - you need to be age 13  as of April 1st and
still be 18 on July 1st - This rule is consistent with most school district rules for school age teen participation.

Early graduates must be no more than 18 as of July 1st.

19 year olds must be graduating in 2016 and in the 12th grade at a public or private school as of April 1st 2018.

Must be a US citizen or legally able to live and/or work in the United States and intend on living in the Portland metro area thru end of Summer 2018.

Must live within 35 miles of the city of Portland (97201), be willing to commit to attending all competition rounds, rehearsals and agree to perform at 80% of the
tour performances during the June thru September tour.  Those living just beyond the 35 mile boundary may be eligible -  message the director Krystal Davis on
Facebook to see.

Must not be a trained finalist of a national talent competition with an unfair advantage over other students

No professional artists with albums, extensive public tour or performing experience. Having an album may or may not disqualify you - ask the Director.

If you are "over qualified" consider volunteering to help coach or perform at special events.

REMINDER to review the
paper application for all the rules, requirements and obligations

Must pay a new nominal $5 audition fee at time of audition and is due from every competitive student in 2018.  This helps pay for our venues, rentals and awards.

Contestants may volunteer to help any other program but will not provide an advantage over any other contestant.

Top 15 will go on tour for singing.   Top 3 will be announced at the finale and will receive a financial award in November, if they complete their tour obligations
successfully including performing supporting other finalists, attend non-performance activities, promote the program on social media and are team players.
